Well there are two things that you need!
- Lots of high quality, well targeted leads. You have competition in your office.....in your neighborhood and in your state. But nothing will overcome that faster than knowing that you have an unlimited supply of leads. And you can use specific key words to go after prospects that perhaps your fellow agents are missing!
- MONEY....ha,ha,ha....yeah you know it. We all know that insurance can be great with not just commissions, but also stock bonuses and renewals. But that takes time! So how do you pay for gas.....how do you pay the bills when the sales goes up one week and down the next? It's not your fault....that's the business. So you need money to hold you over until you build up your book.
Consider this. Maybe your manager gives you leads. He also gives leads to the other new agents right? And that is great, but if you get an idea of a niche market......and you ask for a list for that market.....guess what?
Yep.....everyone will get the same list. Your idea, is now helping everyone else. And it's great to be a team player but this is also your paycheck.....it's your renewals.....and it's your business. You are most likely an independent agent.....so this is serious, or at least it should be.
And if you have a subscription to something like Sales Genie....at $75.00 per month, which is the price on the screen as I write this.......that's $900.00 per year.
